Tickets to the Ontario Northern Leaders’ Debate being held on May 10th in North Bay as part of the annual FONOM Conference are now on sale to the general public.

In light of the upcoming provincial election, FONOM has partnered this year with the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) to host a Northern Leaders’ Debate, instead of a Provincial Ministers’ Forum, during its annual conference.

The FONOM Conference is held each year in a Northern Community and centers on topics of broader municipal interest. The debate, which will feature the leaders of Ontario’s four main parties, will focus on issues of regional importance to delegates.

“FONOM gives us as Northern municipalities an excellent opportunity to work together to discuss areas like economic growth, housing and partnerships,” said FONOM President Danny Whalen. “It also provides the opportunity to form a unified regional voice to work with the Provincial Government.”

As host city, North Bay will showcase itself to delegates, including providing them an opportunity to tour the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission’s remanufacturing and repair centre and to visit the new Cascade Casino.

The leaders’ debate will be held at the North Bay Capital Centre and a limited number of tickets are available to the general public. Please see additional details below:
