FONOM Pleased that Electoral Reform Legislation will Ensure Fair Representation for the North
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) is pleased with the recent introduction of election reform legislation that will see the number of ridings in the North remain at 11. Ontario is acting on the province’s Chief Electoral Officer’s recommended changes to riding boundaries, along with several other changes, to ensure fair representation.

En effet, le ministre ontarien des Transports, M. Steven Del Duca, s’est engagé à verser annuellement 15 millions de dollars à 77 collectivités dispersées d’un bout à l’autre de la province, et ce à compter du printemps 2016.

The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) commends the Ontario government for announcing today that they will be providing funding to the Connecting Links program once again. The Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca, committed $15 million annually to 77 communities across the province with funding available beginning in spring 2016.
