La province financera à nouveau le Programme des routes de raccordement aux routes principales

Les membres de la Fédération des municipalités du Nord de l’Ontario félicitent le gouvernement de l’Ontario d’avoir annoncé aujourd’hui qu’il financera à nouveau le Programme des routes de raccordement aux routes principales. En effet, le ministre ontarien des Transports, M. Steven Del Duca, s’est engagé à verser annuellement 15 millions de dollars à 77 collectivités dispersées d’un bout à l’autre de la province, et ce à compter du printemps 2016.

Connecting Links to Receive Funding Support from the Province

The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) commends the Ontario government for announcing today that they will be providing funding to the Connecting Links program once again. The Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca, committed $15 million annually to 77 communities across the province with funding available beginning in spring 2016.

FONOM Recognizes the Support of FedNor in the North

The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) recognizes the investments in northern Ontario communities by FedNor. The Northern Policy Institute (NPI) in partnership with the Mowat Centre and the Institute for Competitiveness and Prosperity recently developed a Federal Economic Agenda for Ontario discussion paper. During their consultations with northern stakeholders, NPI released preliminary feedback that states there is a lack of engagement from FedNor in northeastern communities.
