Réunion de mars à Sudbury pour le CA de la FMNO
Les membres du conseil d’administration de la Fédération des municipalités du Nord de l’Ontario (FMNO) se sont rendus dans la Ville du Grand Sudbury pour y tenir leur réunion ordinaire du 24 mars 2017. Au cours de cette rencontre, les membres du CA ont discuté d’un certain nombre de questions, y compris de changements aux normes d’entretien des logements de location résidentiels, de propositions de modification du code du bâtiment en rapport avec l’inspection des réservoirs septiques, et la mise sur pied d’un programme d’échange/de remplacement de poêles à bois dans le cadre du Plan d’action de l’Ontario contre le changement climatique afin d’aider les propriétaires à réduire les émissions dues aux combustibles fossiles.
North Welcomes Greater Cabinet Representation
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) extends its congratulations to Bill Mauro, the newest member of Premier Kathleen Wynne’s cabinet. Minister Mauro’s northern Ontario roots will help him to be an effective and active voice for northern Ontario within the Cabinet, as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
FONOM Pleased With Announcement of Proposed Changes to the Ontario Building Code
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) is pleased with the Government of Ontario’s recent announcement that it will move forward with the proposed changes to the Ontario Building Code to allow for wood frame building structures up to six storeys.
