The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities announced today that it is ramping up pressure on the government to protect ONTC and overnight camping in ten provincial parks in Northern Ontario.
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) met with representatives from seven Provincial Ministries including five Ministers during the recent Association of Municipalities of Ontario held in Ottawa.
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) met with representatives of Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) on October 29, 2013 in Timmins to gain a better understanding of the position of NAN First Nations with respect to Governance and Education jurisdiction. FONOM and NAN are calling on the federal government to support NAN’s vision of education.
