Kapuskasing (Ontario), le 17 janvier 2017– À la Fédération des municipalités du Nord de l’Ontario (FMNO), on continue de se préoccuper de l’impact des coûts énergétiques sur l’économie du Nord de l’Ontario. Les membres du conseil d’administration, réunis à North Bay le 12 janvier courant, ont discuté en profondeur de ce dossier.
January 17, 2017 – Kapuskasing, ON- The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) Board of Directors’ travelled to the City of North Bay for the regular meeting of the Board which was held on January 12, 2017 at Nipissing University.
January 17, 2017 – Kapuskasing, ON- The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) continues to be concerned about the impacts of energy costs on the Northern Ontario economy. The issue was heavily discussed at the recent meeting of the Board of Directors’ on January 12, 2017 in North Bay. Whether it be high and volatile fuel prices, the soaring costs on electricity bills or increased natural gas bills as a result of the cap and trade program that took effect on January 1, 2017, energy costs continue to be one of the most pressing issues to municipalities. FONOM currently receives more municipal resolutions with respect to energy than any other issue.
