John Curley, Director

I have been married to my lovely wife Laura for 46 years. We have three beautiful daughters, Tammy, Donna, Anna, and four awesome granddaughters, Lynezza, Cassidy, Riley, and Carissa.

I was born in Fort Erie and moved to Porcupine at the age of 4. I attended Roland Michener Secondary School and then completed a two-year upgrading program at Northern College.

I retired in 2010 and have served as a Councillor for Ward 2 for 23 years. I am currently a member of the Porcupine Kinsmen, Legion Branch 287, Lifetime Member Kinsmen Club of the Porcupine, Lifetime Member Ontario Good Roads Association. I am also the recipient of the Paul Harris Award and the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to sporting events that my grandchildren are involved in, hunting, fishing and camping.

The best thing about Timmins is the friendliness. It’s like the show Cheers, where everyone knows your name. There are a lot of events and things to do here. Stay positive, volunteer and get involved.
