La Fédération des municipalités du Nord de l’Ontario (FMNO) est encouragée du fait que, le 16 juin 2016, l’Office national de l’énergie (ONE) a déterminé que les demandes pour le projet Énergie Est de TransCanada sont maintenant complètes. On entamera maintenant un processus de révision d’une durée de 21 mois avant de soumettre le projet au gouvernement fédéral qui rendra sa décision finale.
